34012 Wilshire Boulevard was the address of Wayne Palmer's penthouse in Los Angeles during Day 5.
Day 5[]
At around 7:00am of Day 5, former President David Palmer was visiting his brother, Wayne, at his apartment. As they talked, Wayne noticed David seemed a little worried and asked him what was wrong. David, however, didn't reveal anything to him. As they prepared to work on another chapter of David's memoirs, Conrad Haas fired a rifle round from the opposing building through David Palmer's throat killing him instantly. As Wayne quickly ran to him, he screamed for help. ("Day 5: 7:00am-8:00am") Haas and his superiors planned to frame Jack Bauer for the murder.
After 8:00am, a large group of mourners had gathered in front of the building. Several FBI and Secret Service teams had been already deployed at the apartment building and the penthouse. Jack wanted to check the scene of the crime so he had Chloe O'Brian check the building schematics and the current deployment of agents. Chloe told him there were about 167 agents in the building, and about 25 in the apartment alone. Jack knocked down an FBI agent to use his ID and jacket and infiltrate the building.
After sneaking into the apartment, Jack checked Wayne's computer for any lead when Wayne Palmer found him and berated him for killing his brother. However, Jack assured him that he would've killed him too if he were the killer. Wayne then helped Jack gather any information that might lead him to the real murderer. At CTU, Edgar Stiles, Spenser Wolff, and Bill Buchanan found out that Chloe was logging at their systems from this address, and they figured Jack might be at the apartment building. Buchanan then called FBI teams to capture them. Jack managed to escape capture, as Chloe created a diversion. She was eventually arrested by Agent Jennings and sent to CTU. ("Day 5: 8:00am-9:00am")
Background information and notes[]
- The elevator at the building has buttons to 17 floors, including the penthouse. However, when Jack looks at the digital screen that counts the floors, the elevator goes up 18 floors.
