During Day 1, Teri Bauer and Kevin Carroll (posing as Alan York) were pulled over by a police officer at about 3:20am, for exceeding the 35 mph limit. The officer delayed them until his dispatcher confirmed that their supposed emergency was in fact true, justifying their haste. The officer let them go so the two could track down their daughters. In real life, there is no 5th Street Bridge in Los Angeles.
The scenes on the bridge were actually filmed on the 4th Street Bridge, and Kevin's car is stopped after he turns onto East 4th Place. Incidentally, this location is just around the corner from the shooting location of 18166 San Fernando Road, also featured in the episode.
