Nasser Faris (sometimes credited as Al Faris) portrayed Salim in Season 6 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Nasser Faris was born in Cairo, Egypt, but grew up in Los Angeles. He graduated from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service where he studied international politics and economics. Faris studied acting at the Wooly Mammoth Theater and the Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC, the Herbert-Berghoff Studios in New York, and the Beverly Hills Playhouse and the Groundlings in Los Angeles.

Faris' movie credits include the 2003 award-winning movie House of Sand and Fog (with Shohreh Aghdashloo and Jonathan Ahdout) and 2004's AmericanEast. In 2011, Faris appeared in Howard Gordon's new shows, Homeland (with Hrach Titizian) and Tyrant. Other guest-spots include Malcolm in the Middle, JAG, The Shield, Sleeper Cell, The Unit and NCIS.
