Alastair Davies was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during Day 9.
Biography[]
Four years after Day 8, Prime Minister Davies invited President James Heller of the United States for a week-long summit in London, where they were to negotiate the lease of their two countries' joint base at Diego Garcia in the British Indian Ocean Territory. On the first day, Heller and Davies were scheduled to attend a European Union economic briefing, followed by a welcoming reception at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and high tea at the Prime Minister's residence. Day 9[]
During the welcome reception, Davies talked with President Heller and his daughter Audrey, and said he was confident that Heller could win support from Parliament to extend the lease on the drone base. Minutes later, however, Davies was informed by his military advisors that an American drone pilot had fired on a convoy in Afghanistan, killing two British officers, and he left the reception. ("12:00pm-1:00pm")
Just before 2:00pm, Alastair welcomed Heller into Parliament, but warned him that they were in an aggressive mood that morning after the drone attack. After Alastair introduced Heller, several members of Parliament began to yell out at the President, who was left speechless. ("1:00pm-2:00pm").
Davies supported Heller in his attempts to prevent the war with China, trying to convince President Wei of how Cheng Zhi had set America up to no effect. ("9:00pm-10:00pm")
After the resolution of the crisis, Davies personally accompanied Heller to Air Force One where he expressed his sympathies for the loss of Heller's daughter. Davies sadly listened as Heller recounted how he recently forgot who his daughter was for a brief moment and how his disease would soon rob him of all memory of her, including her existence and death. ("10:00pm-11:00am")
