Alex Gansa is a writer and executive producer on 24.
Gansa first collaborated with 24 showrunner Howard Gordon as writing partners on Fox's The X-Files. Afterwards, they pursued separate careers up until season 7 of 24, when Gansa joined the writing staff.
Following 24's finale, Gansa and Gordon developed an adaptation of the Israeli drama Prisoners of War called Homeland. The show, which premiered in 2011, featured a group of collaborators that also worked on 24 like Sean Callery (composer) and Michael Klick (producer).
