Biography and career[]
Andi Chapman Born 1956 is an actress, director, and educator. She studied at the New York High School for the Performing Arts. After that, Chapman completed a Bachelor's degree from The City College of New York's Davis Center, and a Master's degree from the Yale School of Drama.
Chapman started her career in 1988, appearing in the TV film Terrorist on Trial: The United States vs. Salim Ajami. After that, she has appeared in feature films like Dad, Born Yesterday, Short Cuts, and S.W.A.T. (with Page Kennedy, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Denis Arndt). Chapman has also appeared in TV shows like NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), The Shield (with Benito Martinez), The X-Files, and NYPD Blue (with Jimmy Smits).
Aside of TV and films, Chapman is very active in the theater scene. She is the associate artistic director of The Ebony Repertory Theatre. Chapman has directed various plays like The Gospel at Colonus, Steel Magnolias, The Ninth Wave, and others. She also teaches acting at various workshops and institutions.[1][2]
