Anthony Azizi (born May 29, 1969; age 50) played Mamud Rasheed Faheen during Season 2 and Rafique during Season 4 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Anthony Azizi was born in New York City. He is of Iranian descent. Azizi's first experience with acting came as a child, when he acted in plays for the Touchstone Theater in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Azizi attended Freedom High School, along with actors Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Daniel Dae Kim. During that time, he played in the school soccer team and was subsequently accepted to Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with a soccer scholarship. However, he shifted his interest into acting after a knee injury ended his sports career. Azizi graduated in 1991 with a BFA in Theater Arts.

Through his career, Azizi has had recurring roles in many television shows, including Commander in Chief (with Harry Lennix, Ever Carradine, and James MacDonald), Threat Matrix (with Currie Graham), 90210 (with Megalyn Echikunwoke), and Single Ladies (with DB Woodside and Colin Salmon).

Azizi has also had roles in several movies, including Wristcutters: A Love Story (with Clayne Crawford and John Hawkes), Transformers: Dark of the Moon (with Glenn Morshower, Kevin Sizemore, and Inna Korobkina), Eagle Eye (with Bill Smitrovich and Dariush Kashani), Tomcats, and For Richer or Poorer.

Azizi is also one of many 24 alumni to have appeared in Lost. He portrayed Omar during Seasons 4 and 6 of the show, along with high school friend Daniel Dae Kim, Henry Ian Cusick, Alan Dale, François Chau, and Graham McTavish, among many others.

Role on 24 Edit

Azizi has appeared twice in 24 on two different roles. During Season 2, he portrayed Mamud Rasheed Faheen, a terrorist from the Second Wave organization, while on Season 4, he portrayed Rafique, one of the right-hand men of Habib Marwan. For both roles he was credited as a guest star.
