Bakersfield, a city north of Los Angeles, was a part of a CTU LA investigation during Day 2.

Day 2

At the start of the day, CTU field agent Peter was assigned to Bakersfield. When CTU director George Mason learned that a nuclear blast was highly probably in LA, he reassigned Peter and headed to Bakersfield himself. Tony Almeida challenged Mason about this decision, and claimed that Mason was headed there because Bakersfield was outside the likely blast radius for the attack.
