Bauer house

The Bauer house was the home of Jack, Teri and Kim Bauer. It was located on tenth. ("Day 1: 12:00am-1:00am")

Day 1

At midnight Jack and Kim were playing chess in a back room containing a bench press. Kim was sent to bed, and Jack came through to see Teri in the kitchen. They walked down the hall to Kim's bedroom, and found she had sneaked out. Just then Jack was called into the office, so Teri waited in the house until he returned. She searched through Kim's room and found three joints in her desk.

Later, when Teri was making coffee in the kitchen, she was received a call from a man who called himself Alan York. They worked out that their daughters were out together, and the man drove round to pick Teri up. ("12:00am-1:00am")

At around 5:50pm, the assassin Jovan Myovic arrived at the Bauer house in search of Kim or Teri. While contemplating a way to break in, agent Williams arrived from CTU. Jovan killed Williams, and concealed his body behind a tree. ("5:00pm-6:00pm")

Just before 6pm, Teri arrived at her house with Phil Parslow. He removed the hidden key from beneath a stone and opened the door, which set off the alarms. As Teri could not remember her code, security personnel arrived to investigate. Newman turned off the alarm and his partner Taylor reset the contact points around the house.

As Jovan waited for the coast to clear, Phil took Teri into Kim's room to try and jog her memory back. He then took her into the living room to show her a diary, just as Phil's friend Chris arrived to protect them. Teri took a dislike to his gun and asked him to wait outside. ("6:00pm-7:00pm")

At 6:55pm, Chris came into the house to use the bathroom. At that moment, Jovan entered, killing Chris and wounding Phil. He then was about to shoot Teri in the living room when Tony Almeida broke into the house and killed him. Tony then brought Teri and Phil round the back of the house to his car, and drove them away. ("6:00pm-7:00pm", "7:00pm-8:00pm")

After Day 1

Sometime after the death of his wife, Jack moved out of the house into a smaller place. Kim moved to 12 Blue Tree Drive as a live-in au pair. ("Day 2: 8:00am-9:00am")

Background information and notes

• Excluding the establishing shot (pictured above), the Bauer house scenes were filmed at 4620 Rubio Avenue in Encino (see Season 1 filming locations)
• The house appeared in flashback footage during Day 1: 11:00pm-12:00am.
• In 24 Declassified: Trojan Horse, the Bauer family are said to be living in Santa Monica, about a mile from the ocean. However, this may not be the same house they were living in during Day 1, as Kim Bauer said she moved around a lot in her youth. ("Day 2: 9:00pm-10:00pm")
