Benjamin Koldyke (born March 27, 1968; age 52) played an LAPD Officer during Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career Edit

Benjamin Koldyke was born in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in nearby Kenilworth. His father is a former investment banker and his mother's family also works in the investment field. After Koldyke graduated from high school, he did a post-graduate year at Choate Rosemary Hall. After that, he studied at Dartmouth College, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor's degree in English. Koldyke was also a quarterback for the football team.

Originally, Koldyke worked as a high school English teacher and football coach in Chicago. After meeting comedian Rob McElhenney at a cafe, he started pursuing a career in acting. Early in his career, he appeared in films like The Next Best Thing (with Benjamin Bratt), Thirteen Days (with Lucinda Jenney), Red Zone, Say I Do, and Stuck on You.

Aside of films, Koldyke has had regular and recurring roles on TV shows like Big Love (with Željko Ivanek and Shawn Doyle), How I Met Your Mother, Work It, Back in the Game, Mr. RObinson, Masters of Sex (with Teddy Sears and Kevin Christy), and Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street.
