Dr. Bhatt was a doctor during Day 1.

When Bala Ravindran was stabbed in the stomach by Pooja Bharadwaj, he was taken to a hospital and treated by Dr. Bhatt. Tejpal Singh arrived at the hospital at around 7pm and found out from Dr. Bhatt that Bala would not be conscious for another half hour. ("7:00pm-8:00pm")

Mahinder Gill called Bhatt shortly before 9pm and Bhatt explained that Bala was not in a fit state for questioning. Gill said he needed to let Bala speak to his father on the phone, and Bhatt was hesitant, but Gill explained that Bala was a dangerous terrorist and it was a matter of national security. Bhatt agreed and Bala spoke to Ravindran. ("8:00pm-9:00pm")

Gill then arrived at the hospital at 9:40pm with the authorisation to move Bala. Dr. Bhatt expressed his disapproval at the action, warning Gill against it, but he was ignored and Bala was taken out of the hospital to be handed over to Raja Talapathi. ("9:00pm-10:00pm")
