Bob Jorgensen

Bob Jorgensen was a member of the Latham Group and one of the major contributors to the presidential campaign of Senator David Palmer prior to Day 1.

Day 1

Jorgensen attended a private meeting with Carl Webb, Frank Ames (Palmer's biggest contributor), and Phil Tuttle. They discussed how George Ferragamo, the therapist of Palmer's son Keith, was planning to accuse Keith of the murder of Lyle Gibson. Jorgensen and Tuttle, who did not want Palmer's campaign to be destroyed by this accusation, told Webb to silence Ferragamo. Ames was taken aback by the decision of the other three men, and washed his hands of everything. Shortly afterward, Ferragamo was killed in a fire, and evidence was secretly planted by Webb and his conspirators that would incriminate Keith if the Senator tried to expose them. Nevertheless, Senator Palmer exposed the conspiracy in a press conference. Webb was present with Jorgensen while he watched the live broadcast, and offered to stop the Senator. Jorgensen, realizing the damage was already done, simply told Webb that it was "too late". ("6:00pm-7:00pm")

Background information and notes

• In Jorgensen's first appearance, his face is not seen and he is being played by actor Jack Rubinoff. In his second appearance, the part had been recast to Lew Dauber, and Rubinoff appeared as a different member of the Latham Group.
• In a deleted scene from "Day 1: 6:00pm-7:00pm," some men enter the room as Jorgensen and Webb watch Palmer on TV. Someone whispers to Jorgensen, and he buttons his jacket as he turns to face them. One of them reveals a badge: they are the FBI.
