Broderick A. Crawford is an actor and U.S. marine who doubled for Corey Hawkins as Eric Carter during The Raid.
Biography and career[]
Crawford joined the U.S. Marines in 1996. He was initially discharged in 2001, and decided to pursue a career in the entertainment business. Crawford was working security for singer/actress Brandy on the set of Moesha, when he was reactivated for duty after 9/11. During this time, he also played drums for funk rock band Mad Jones.[1]
In 2004, Crawford was again released by the Marines. After that, he started working as a military technical assistant advisor for JAG. Crawford joined Gunmetal Group, which offers military training and consulting, as well as military-trained background actors, for films and TV shows.
Since 2009, Crawford enrolled in Park University to complete a Bachelor's degree in Social Psychology and Human Behavior. After graduating in 2011, he continued to complete his Master's and Doctoral degree from Walden University, graduating in 2017 as a Doctor in Philosophy. He is the co-founder of BC Body Compositions.
