When Jack Bauer and Ramon Salazar fled into the Pershing Square subway station, Officer Brooks updated Chase Edmunds about their possible locations. Chase ran off on his own to notify Jack that Kyle Singer had been apprehended, and that he could stop fleeing. Brooks was stunned that Chase was not coordinating with his policemen.
