The CTU lounge was a seating area in the CTU Los Angeles building where people could go away from the main operational functions of the building.

Day 4[]
After Erin Driscoll's daughter Maya committed suicide, and Erin was relieved of her duties, she sat alone in the lounge. James Heller came to comfort her, telling her about his wife Susan who had passed away several years earlier. ("6:00pm-7:00pm")
Day 6[]
After arriving at CTU during Day 6, Marilyn and Josh Bauer waited in the CTU lounge as the day's events were investigated. At around 2:45am, Zhou Yong and his men invaded the building, and two men broke into the lounge to capture them both. Jack Bauer shot them dead and tried to take them away to safety, but they were ultimately captuted again. ("2:00am-3:00am")
After the hostage situation was resolved, Marilyn went back to the lounge and later got a call from Jack, who had rescued Josh. However, when Josh did not return to the building, Marilyn got agitated, and security would not let her leave. Nadia Yassir went to calm her down, and called more security to the lounge to restrain Marilyn. ("3:00am-4:00am", "4:00am-5:00am")

- The lounge scenes were shot in the "swing set" part of the CTU soundstage, which also doubled as the CTU medical clinic and the CTU forensics room.
