The California Plaza was a complex in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
Alexis Drazen had arranged to give $50,000 in bonds to a power company employee named Alan Morgan outside Connie's restaurant in California Plaza. However because Alexis was hospitalized and captured, Jack Bauer posed as him to get information. Morgan realized that it was a sting, and tried to get away, but was shot by Teddy Hanlin. Morgan fell through a glass railing on a walkway overpass and later died. ("Day 1: 5:00pm-6:00pm")
The morning after Day 2, David Palmer addressed the press from the steps of California Plaza. As he shook hands with the crowd, Mandy poisoned his hand causing him to collapse and almost die. ("Day 2: 7:00am-8:00am")
Background information and notes[]
- The filmed scenes take place in the water court of the real life California Plaza complex on South Grand Avenue. The bridge Morgan is shot on is actually on the west side of the court, as opposed to the 'East bridge' suggested by the dialogue.
