Caltrans was a government agency in California which managed the state's highway and public transportation systems. The agency monitored and maintained numerous traffic cameras in the Los Angeles area.
During Day 3, CTU Los Angeles analyst Adam Kaufman reported to Tony Almeida that Caltrans was redirecting traffic away from the Chandler Plaza Hotel to assist CTU in combating the outbreak of the Cordilla virus there.
