Cameron Bancroft (born May 17, 1967; age 53) played Lee Castle during Season 4 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Cameron Bancroft was born in Winnipeg, Canada. His father is an attorney, and his mother a former nurse. Bancroft attended Handsworth Secondary School, and later studied acting at the California Institute of the Arts. He was recruited to play with the Kamloops Blazers, from the Western Hockey League (WHL), but a hiking accident prevented him from playing.

Through his acting career, Bancroft has appeared in TV shows like Tour of Duty, Special Unit 2 (with Ping Wu), CSI: Miami, and Once Upon a Time (with Lana Parrilla and Robert Carlyle). He has also had recurring or regular roles in shows like The Beachcombers, Beverly Hills 90210 (with Steven Culp), The Cape, Supernatural (with Benito Martinez), and Cedar Cove.

Role on 24[edit | edit source]

Bancroft played the role of Lee Castle during Season 4 of 24. Castle was a field agent at CTU Los Angeles, and was an integral part of most of CTU's efforts to stop Habib Marwan's terrorist attempts. Bancroft was credited as a guest star, and appeared in a total of 9 episodes.
