Carl Rousseau Gilliard (born April 18, 1958; age 66) played Ron, an associate of Graem Bauer, during Season 5 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Carl Gilliard was born in Chicago, but attended Osborn High in Detroit. He also attended Michigan State University where he received his degree.

Gilliard began his career in entertainment working as a radio newscaster at WGPR (107.5) in Detroit. However, he then accepted a sales position with the Eastman Kodak Company in Detroit, and later worked with the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Group as a District Manager. This last job took him to Kalamazoo, Michigan, where Gilliard was re-introduced to theater. In 1985, he moved to Los Angeles to continue pursuing his acting career.

Through his career, Gilliard has had guest roles on numerous television shows, including The Young and the Restless (with Joe Nieves), Alias, Pensacola: Wings of Gold (with Salvator Xuereb), Private Practice, and The Bernie Mac Show (with Necar Zadegan).

Gilliard has also had minor roles in several films, such as Inception (with Michael Gaston, Claire Geare, Lukas Haas, Tim Kelleher, Tohoru Masamune, Marc Raducci and Simon Rhee), Red Eye, Coach Carter (with Vincent Laresca and Jenny Gago), The Mannsfield 12 (with Tony Todd and V.J. Foster), Restraining Order (with Kevin McCorkle) and Chimera House (with Danny Arroyo).

Gilliard has also been featured in multiple television commercials, including Pepto Pismol, Burger King, Saturn, Oldsmobile, and IBM, to name a few.

Role on 24[]

Carl Gilliard played Ron during two episodes of Season 5. Ron was one of the associates of Graem Bauer on the Sentox nerve gas conspiracy, along with Bauer, Robert Joseph, Charles Logan, and others. Gilliard was credited as a co-star on his first appearance, and was uncredited on his second one.
