A graduate of the Tulane School of Architecture Masters program, Barbosa's career as a production designer for Film and Television was preceded by his practice as an Architect for the firms of August Perez and Associates in New Orleans, Moore Ruble Yudell in Los Angeles as well as his own projects in New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles.
He has worked on many other shows, including Lost, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and CSI:Miami. He has also worked on films such as Coach Carter and The Invisible, as well as working on commercials such as Coca Cola and Burger King.
He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Production Designer[edit | edit source]
As the production designer for the show, Barbosa used a location and designed some additional elements for the CTU set seen in the pilot Season 1. It was then redesigned by Joseph Hodges and built on stage in Woodland Hills when the show was picked up for the series. Upon his return for Season 8, Barbosa re-redesigned and constructed the new CTU.
He was interviewed for The Ultimate CTU special feature of the final season DVD set.
