Carshenah W. Jefferson (born July 3) played a Sangalan villager during Season 7 of 24.

Biography and career[edit | edit source]

Carshenah Jefferson was born in Gainesville, Florida, but was raised in Jacksonville. She attended Florida State University where she graduated with two Bachelor's degree in Theater and Classics, as well as a double minor in Italian Studies and Computer Science. During her last college year, Jefferson studied abroad in Florence, Italy. After that, she earned her Masters degree in Acting from the University of Florida.

After graduating, Jefferson started acting in the New York theater circuit, and also modeled for Mattel, Inc. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Shortly after arriving, she received a role on the film Akeelah and the Bee (with Tzi Ma). The next year, she had a brief role on the film Live Free or Die Hard (with Željko Ivanek, Yorgo Constantine, John Lacy, and Christina Chang).

Jefferson has also appeared in several TV shows like Everybody Hates Chris, Shameless, and Boomerang Kids.

Role on 24[edit | edit source]

Jefferson is one of five actors credited for playing a group of villagers from the fictional African country of Sangala during Season 7. Jefferson's scenes are all part of a video footage that is shown to President Allison Taylor to show the effects of a biological weapon on humans.
