Where is President Logan's House? It seems architecturally significant but can't find info anywere.

You mean the place he's at this season? It's a presidential retreat in Hidden Valley. I don't think they've said anything else about it. --StBacchus 18 April 2006

I've added a link to a Google map showing the location of Van Nuys airport. Is that an appropriate thing to do? Jeremymiles 07:48, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't think that we want any images (including maps, etc.) that didn't come from the show itself. There's been an ongoing discussion about whether or not to include "real-world" information that didn't come from the show, and the rule we've been going by for now is that we don't want to do it. I would remove the link for now, and then if it's decided later that we do want that kind of information, you can always put it back. --Kapoli 08:00, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
He didn't add a map, though, just a link to one. External links have always been fine, as far as I know. Anyway, I'm going to give this topic another week in the Situation Room. If no one has put up a decent argument to the contrary, I'm going to change the Manual of Style to say that real-life information can be included as long as it's relevant to understanding the show and doesn't contradict the show. That's the most sensible policy. --StBacchus 08:54, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
Touche.... the external link should be okay. And for the record, I'm all for including real-world information (limited quantities of it that are relevant to the show, that is), especially regarding locations. I think it's pretty damn clear that 24 is based in reality. I think we should assume that everything is the same in real life as it is on 24 unless the show says otherwise. I'll have to post my thoughts in detail in The Situation Room. -Kapoli 08:59, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
