Biography and career Edit

Cathy Herd was born in Muscatine, Iowa, as Catherine Lemkau. She studied at Muscatine High School, graduating in 1986. During her school years, she was a cheerleader, homecoming queen, and a student government representative. After that, Herd studied at the University of Iowa where she completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications. Shortly after graduating, Herd work for the Miss Iowa Organization in Public Relations.

Herd started her professional acting career in 1996, appearing in the film Chain Reaction, along with Tzi Ma. After that, she appeared in TV shows like Party of Five, Scrubs, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (with Zachary Quinto), What I Like About You, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Without a Trace.

Since 2007, Herd started her own business as a consultant for interviews and public speaking. Since 2016, she has been working for the Marketing and Public Relations department at Branded.
