Charlie Hofheimer (born April 17, 1981; age 43) is an American actor who played Ben Grimes, Eric Carter's former Army Ranger colleague, in 24: Legacy.

Biography and career[]

Hofheimer was born on April 17, 1981 in Detroit, Michigan. He and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York when he was a year old.

His first film role was the 1994 version of Lassie. His film roles include Boys (with Lukas Haas), Father's Day (with Louis Lombardi), Black Hawk Down (with Tom Sizemore, Glenn Morshower, Gabriel Casseus and Gregory Sporleder), The Village (with Jayne Atkinson and Cherry Jones) and Paranoia (with George Colucci and Thom Williams).

Hofheimer played the role of Ben Grimes during 24: Legacy. Grimes was Eric Carter's former Army Ranger colleague. The character was referred to as "Marcus" in initial press releases. Hofheimer's casting was announced on March 4, 2016. Hofheimer first appeared in the show's prequel, The Raid, and then went on to appear on the first 6 episodes of the show. Hofheimer was credited as part of the main cast.
