Cheryl Rusa

Cheryl Rusa (born July 20, 1961; age 62) is a stunt performer who doubled for Elisha Cuthbert in the role of Kim Bauer during certain scenes of Season 1 of 24.

Biography and career

Cheryl Rusa was born in Los Angeles, California. She was trained and became a personal trainer for Ray and Mike Mentzer Future Fitness Gym.

In 1986, Rusa was cast on the TV series G.L.O.W. (which stands for "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling") as Lightning, the Superhero. After that, she continued wrestling on the professional wrestling circuit for several leagues in the US and Japan.

After her appearance in G.L.O.W., Rusa also started a career as an actress and stuntperson. Some of the films she has worked for are Three Kings and Spider-Man 2. Rusa has also worked in shows like Touched by an Angel, Hannah Montana, and the second season of True Detective.

Role on 24

Rusa doubled for Elisha Cuthbert in the role of Kim Bauer during Season 1 of 24. During "Day 1: 12:00pm-1:00pm", Cuthbert was afraid of flying in a helicopter for the scene where she was rescued from the Gaines compound, so the internal shots of the chopper flying has Rusa holding onto Kiefer Sutherland during the flight. Rusa's performance was uncredited.
