Chevensky was a Dawn Brigade separatist who worked as a baggage supervisor at the Ontario Airport during Day 5.
Day 5[]
Jack Bauer learned that Chevensky would be somehow involved with the terrorists through a note that David Palmer left on his computer. This note, "Chevensky - 16 Transport Way", listed Chevensky's name and office number on a page of his memoirs.
Chevensky possessed a key card which was to open a sealed transport crate containing 20 canisters of Sentox nerve gas. It was planned that Chevensky would take his counterparts to the canisters while the hostage situation erupted. That plan, however, was spoiled when Jack showed up. When confronted by Jack, Chevensky swallowed a suicide capsule and died while Jack's attention was drawn away. One of Beresch's men, Achmed, later found his body, and retrieved the key card from the location where he had said it would be hidden.
Despite Jack's interruption, the key card was still passed on to a sleeper terrorist among the hostages, Ivan Erwich, and the nerve gas canisters were successfully removed from the airport by Erwich and his men.
