Chuti Tiu (born May 16, 1970; age 53) played Mae, Peter Kingsley's personal assistant, during Season 2 of 24. The scene in which she had spoken lines was deleted.

Biography and career[]

Chuti Tiu was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School in 1987. That same year, she won America's Junior Miss beauty pageant becoming the first non-Caucasian woman to win. After that, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University in 1991. In 1994, she participated in the Miss America pageant as Miss Illinois, winning a talent award for a classical piano performance.

Tiu began her acting career in 1997, appearing in the TV series Claude's Crib. After that, she has had recurring or regular roles in shows like Port Charles, Tales of the South Seas, Desire (with Janora McDuffie), and Days of Our Lives. She has also guest-starred in shows like Moesha, Beverly Hills 90210, The West Wing (with Peter James Smith), Dragnet (with François Chau), Miami Medical (with Lana Parrilla), and In Plain Sight.

Aside of TV shows, Tiu has appeared in films like The Internship, Rampart, For a Fistful of Diamonds (with Kevin Fry-Bowers), and The Specials.

Role on 24[]

Tiu played the role of Mae during Season 2 of 24. Mae was the personal assistant of Peter Kingsley, and she was seen with him in most of his office scenes. Tiu was credited as a co-star and appeared in a total of 3 episodes. Although her role was relatively small, a deleted scene featured her confronting Kingsley about his plans for the nuclear attack on Los Angeles.
