CompuShield, officially CompuShield Advanced Security Systems, was a software company specializing in network security. CompuShield recruited out of Stanford University, and the company had a contract with the Counter Terrorist Unit to provide consultation and support personnel as needed.

Scott Baylor worked as a consultant for CompuShield until Richard Walsh offered him a full-time position at CTU Los Angeles.

Milo Pressman worked as a staff analyst at CompuShield. During Day 1, Pressman was contracted by CTU Los Angeles to assist in decrypting the key card that Baylor found with intelligence on the David Palmer assassination threat. (Findings at CTU)
