Connell Johnson

Connell Johnson was a forensic technician from District, assigned to CTU Los Angeles during Day 6 to assist with digital analysis work during the national crisis occurring at the time.

He had some history with Mike Doyle, from when Doyle was a part of CTU Denver, as Johnson mentioned owing Doyle for some favor Doyle did for him back then.

Day 6

Shortly after Jack Bauer successfully prevented the detonation of an aerial drone carrying a nuclear bomb over San Francisco by forcing it offcourse and into a crash landing with the terrorist pilot's own control panel, Connell Johnson arrived at the pilot's hideout as well, with his team, to investigate the computers in the building and how they were able to access CTU's system.

It was Johnson who discovered a remote access module was attached to the computer of the nuclear drone's pilot. Rather than announce the discovery openly, he took Mike Doyle aside to show it to him personally. He stated this remote access module would prove Nadia Yassir, who was suspected of relaying CTU's satellite data to the terrorists deliberately, was actually innocent, and pointed out that, since Doyle was particularly abusive against her when he interrogated her, he could face serious judgment if this truth were revealed. Making reference to the mysterious favor Doyle did for him back in Denver, Johnson handed the remote access module to him in secret, unspokenly suggesting he bury this evidence and allow Nadia to remain a suspect in order to protect himself from any consequences.

After he and Doyle arrived back at CTU shortly later, when it seemed Doyle had indeed chosen not to submit the remote access module as evidence, Johnson betrayed him, taking Milo Pressman aside to inform him about the remote access module's existence, while not mentioning that he himself was the one who basically suggested to Doyle he keep it secret.

Milo confronted and attacked Doyle over it, but, as it turned out, Doyle had given the remote access module to Morris O'Brian immediately after his return to CTU after all. He had not yet filed it as evidence simply because he wanted to verify it was real first, saying he got it from an "unreliable source". Morris confirmed it was authentic, and Doyle and Milo apologized to each other.

Realizing Johnson had attempted to manipulate him, Doyle walked up to him and warned him this would be the last time.
