Daniel Boyce was an undercover CIA agent who was responsible for turning Grisha Zherdev into one of their informants. Boyce, along with Jack Bauer and William Fields, worked undercover in Zherdev's organization for over a year before successfully converting him to work for the CIA.
Sometime after Zherdev and various other arms dealers were killed in an ambush, Jamar Lagunov discovered that Boyce was a CIA agent. Lagunov captured and chained Boyce to a chair inside a private room within Tateos Gadjoyan's club. When Lagunov led Gadjoyan to Boyce, Boyce tried to explain to Gadjoyan that he had no idea what he was talking about. Gadjoyan already knew the truth and interrogated Boyce anyway, shooting him twice to see if anyone else in Zherdev's organization had been corrupted. Although Boyce remained silent, Gadjoyan figured out that someone in Amorah Banovich's crew had been turned anyway. Afterwards, he shot Boyce in the forehead. (Trial by Fire)
