Biography and career Edit

Darby Stanchfield was born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska to a commercial fisherman. She attended the University of Puget Sound, graduating in 1993 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Theater. She also studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Stanchfield began her career in 2000, appearing in an episode of Diagnosis Murder. After that, she has appeared in shows like Strong Medicine (with Kavita Patil), CSI: NY (with Nick Chinlund), and Castle (with Stana Katic). Stanchfield has also had recurring roles in shows like Jericho (with Alicia Coppola), NCIS (with Pauley Perrette), General Hospital, and more recently Scandal.

Aside of TV shows, Stanchfield has appeared in films like The Picture of Dorian Gray (with Brian Durkin), Waitres, Serving Up Richard (with Ross McCall and Jude Ciccolella), and Finding Hope (with James Morrison and Chris Mulkey).
