Darin Lynn Cooper (born April 15, 1966; age 58) played Don during Season 3 of 24. He was the landlord of the Singer family who had threatened to evict them for not paying their bills.

Biography and career[]

Darin Cooper was born in Oakley, Kansas, to a plumber and a beautician. He attended Kansas State University, where he graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Illustration. After college, he moved to Los Angeles and started working in graphic design as a freelance artist for numerous design firms and advertising agencies.

Eventually, Cooper got tired of office work and decided to pursue a career in acting. With time, he quit design so he could be more available for auditions. He also started working as a bartender in California, while he got his start in acting.

Cooper's first credited role was in the 1994 film Famous. After that, he has appeared in other films like The Real Thing (with Esai Morales), The Arrival, The Prophet's Game (with Dennis Hopper), The Social Network(with Scott Lawrence), Iron Man 3 (with James Badge Dale), and Gone Girl. Cooper is also a regular in The Asylum films, appearing in Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus, Battle of Los Angeles, Super Cyclone, and Asteroid vs. Earth, among others.

Aside of films, Cooper has starred in TV shows like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (with Alexander Siddig), Vengeance Unlimited (with Michael Madsen and Keith Szarabajka), The X-Files, JAG, Haunted, Criminal Minds, and Drop Dead Diva. He has also worked in theater, appearing in several plays, some of them with his friend Silas Weir Mitchell.
