Dariush Kashani (born July 2, 1969; age 54) played Ali during Season 4 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Dariush Kashani was born in Tehran, Iran. He moved to the United States when he was 9 years old. Kashani graduated from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at the State University of New Jersey - Rutgers with a Master's degree in Acting.

Kashani started his acting career in 2001, appearing in the soap opera Guiding Light. Among his other acting roles was a part in the television series Drive, which featured fellow 24 actors Riley Smith, Michael Hyatt, and Kevin Alejandro and a recurring role in Ghost Whisperer (with Aisha Tyler). Kashani has also appeared on films like Eagle Eye (with Anthony Azizi and Bill Smitrovich) and Wasabi Tuna.

Aside from TV and film, Kashani is an acclaimed theater actor. He has had roles on plays like The Band's Visit, The Invisible Hand, Homebody/Kabul, and Oslo.
