This article's subject relates to Season 8 of 24.

David Brucker was a general and high ranking member of the President Taylor's administration.

Day 8

When President Taylor was threatened by Samir Mehran with the threat of an explosion of nuclear fuel rods in New York City, she adamantly refused to give in to the terrorist demands. General Brucker and Rob Weiss disagreed, and voiced their opinion that they should do everything to save American lives. When their idea of turning over Omar Hassan to Samir's people was shot down, Brucker later introduced a plot to abduct Hassan as a third option, without Taylor's knowledge. The two men stole secret information about Hassan's evacuation route, and also confronted Ethan Kanin. When Kanin had a heart attack, the general was willing to let him die. Brucker soon sent some men loyal to him, led by Adrion Bishop, to conduct the illegal operation. Jack Bauer, who led the escort of Hassan and his family, was able to stop Adrion Bishop and his team. Bishop was injured during the firefight and Jack apprehended him and proceeded to interrogate him. Bishop revealed that he was ordered by Brucker to stop the escort and kidnap Hassan and bring him to Samir in order to prevent the dirty bomb from detonating. Bauer soon rallied this information to President Allison Taylor. The president then had Secret Service agents sent into Ethan's office and Brucker and Weiss were taken into custody.
