David Gomez was one of the operatives of Mexican crime lord Hector Salazar working inside the US.

Day 3[]

Gomez was sent through intermediary Gael Ortega to keep tabs on Kyle Singer. Gael, a CTU agent, was playing both sides, and ordered Gomez to stand down when Kyle was discovered by other CTU agents. Gomez ignored Gael, and fired a bullet into the neck of Tony Almeida, to allow Kyle to flee.

He and an accomplice later found Kyle and his girlfriend Linda, and took them to the industrial complex on Fuller and 4th. They forced them into a pressurized chamber. A third accomplice hosed the two men down to protect them from being contaminated with the Cordilla virus particles on their bodies.

Gomez and his two associates were killed when CTU agents stormed the hiding place and rescued the two teenagers.

Background information and notes[]

  • A few hours after Gomez's death, Simon Cullens tracked down the payment transfer between Hector and Gomez and revealed that his first name was David.
  • In a deleted scene from Day 3: 2:00pm-3:00pm, Gomez films Kyle and Linda entering their apartment, and relays the feed back to Gael Ortega.
