Eric Carter comes face to face with Tony Almeida. Mullins and Carter arrange an important exchange to free Rebecca Ingram, but complications arise. John Donovan must deal with a personal tragedy, while Eric considers his future.
Synopsis
Previously on 24
- Ibrahim Bin-Khalid has kidnapped Rebecca Ingram and plans to execute her live on the Internet.
- Senator John Donovan berates Carter for giving up Ingram to the terrorists.
- Director Simms calls in Tony Almeida for a cleanup operation. Carter and Donovan show up and take Simms hostage.
- In an attempt to negotiate with Naseri, Eric Carter shows up at the safe house to try to free Ara, Naseri's 10-year-old daughter. Donovan tries uselessly to get Simms to call his crew off, and when the crew, headed by Almeida, starts coming in, Carter threatens them.
