As she leaves, she tells Genba that she is glad he is back. She walks through the kitchen and Rikka tells her goodnight, but is ignored. Genba looks concerned.

Ren Kuwamura passes on information
Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. A man enters a shop and makes his way through to a back room. He opens an laptop and plugs in a USB stick, reading out an authorisation code. He then starts transmitting information through the computer as men start banging on the door to his room, threatening him.
A satellite transmits the data to Tokyo. A man with a gun is fleeing assailants, while being shot at. Elsewhere Heisuke Satonaka, Director of CTU Tokyo, gets a call informing him that Urara Asakura is the target of an attack happening today.

Urara Asakura prepares her speech
At the Tokyo Superial Hotel, Eisuke Ushijima enters the building. He uses his keycard on the elevators, then is searched by guards with a metal detector. He reaches the Minsei Party election office as Urara works through a speech with her assistants. She asks for it to sound more humble, but Noboru Akiyama tells her it must sound strong. Urara's husband Yohei agrees with Akiyama.
In her room, Miyu Shido plays music and texts a friend. In the kitchen, Genba brings a drink to Rikka, who says that Miyu is sulking because she thinks Rikka kicked him out of the house. Rikka tells Genba that Miyu is playing him. Rikka tells Genba that until he moves back in, Miyu is being cold towards her. He resolves that the three of them should talk about it, and they go to her room. On the way, he asks how much she appreciates his actions, and she thanks him from the bottom of her heart. They reach her room and find it empty, but as Genba leaves to find her he gets a call telling him to come into work. He explains to Rikka that Satonaka has called everyone in and he will be back in an hour. Genba then grabs his coat and runs to his car. Inside, he looks at a picture of his family on his phone, before driving away.

Miyu puts on makeup
In a car, Miyu puts on lipstick as Suzu Hakozaki complains she was late. Miyu says that the boys they are meeting, KEN and GO, will wait for them, and Suzu wonders which one she will choose. Miyu says they have to meet at a store as GO is part-timing there, and Suzu mentions there will be a bed there.
On his way to work, Genba calls Itsuki Mizuishi, who tells him Satonaka didn't give them any details about the meeting. Genba complains, and Itsuki asks if there are problems at home, but Genba hangs up. He looks out of his car and sees a poster promoting Asakura. At CTU, Sumire Akechi asks Itsuki if they will be working late, as she has plans. Itsuki guesses she wants to go to the hospital to see Hiroshi-kun, and Sumire asks if she can go home as soon as possible. Itsuki then asks Takumi Nanjo for any more information, and he tells her he has nothing. He asks where Genba is, and Itsuki says Genba is on his way but is in a bad mood. Takumi says that he always is.

Genba arrives at CTU
The girls arrive at the store and are greeted by Go Samejima. He takes Suzu inside as Miyu meets Ken Hasebe, and tells him that it isn't her first time sneaking out. Ken then grabs a bag of drinks and leads her inside. They enter the furniture store and Suzu jumps on a bed with Go. Ken gives Suzu some bags of drinks.
Rikka is searching Miyu's room as Genba arrives at CTU. He calls Rikka and asks if she has heard anything, but Rikka says no. She suggests talking to Miyu's homeroom teacher, but Genba says they will in the morning if she isn't back. He enters the CTU building and greets Itsuki, before asking Takumi to make a list of Urara Asakura's entourage. Takumi warns that if the media find out, they could be accused of putting pressure on the election, but Genba tells him to follow orders. He then goes up to his office.
Miyu and Ken drink as Genba makes a call about his missing daughter, asking for help with the police finding her. Satonaka then arrives in the building. In the Minsei Party hotel, the staff watch a news report saying that they are ahead in the polls.

Heisuke Satonaka addresses the CTU staff
At CTU, Satonaka addresses the staff and explains that in the next 24 hours there will be an assassination attempt on Asakura. He says that foreign operatives may have been hired to kill her, and orders everyone to start with Asakura's inner circle. As the meeting ends, Satonaka goes to Genba's office for a private meeting. He tells Genba that someone in CTU is involved with the assassination plot, and they need to find out who. Genba replies that he has already had three of his colleagues fired, so it will be difficult for him to uncover this, but Satonaka orders him. He tells Genba that he is the only one he can trust. Satonaka explains that if Asakura is killed, the country's democracy will be over, then tells Genba that Branch Chief Genji Onitsuka will come over with more information in ten minutes.

He asks her to trust him, then gets a call from Rikka. She tells him that she found pictures of Miyu partying and drinking. Genba says to check her tablet, and Rikka says she doesn't know the password. Itsuki asks if everything is ok, and Genba nods and leaves. Rikka looks down at the pictures she has found.

Ken and Miyu talk
On the roof of the store, Ken and Miyu are looking out to sea. She tells him her father was a surfer before he died six months ago. Ken says he is sorry.
Onitsuka arrives at CTU and Itsuki calls Genba to warn him. He enters Genba's office and tells him that the assassin is probably from America, and gives him a USB stick. Genba asks for the source of the information, but Onitsuka refuses. He mentions that Asakura opposes surveillance, and hates the CTU organisation. He then goes to leave, but Genba asks him for permission from his seniors to hand over the information source. Onitsuka agrees to ask the top brass, as Genba leaves the office to get coffee.

Genba drugs Genji Onitsuka
Downstairs, Genba asks Itsuki to listen to the phone call, and hears Onitsuka phoning the talking clock. Genba then goes to a cupboard and hides a gun in a binder. Itsuki follows him, but is distracted by another employee. Genba returns to his office and shoots a tranquiliser dart into Onitsuka's leg, wrestling him to the couch. Itsuki enters and asks what he is doing. Genba explains that Onitsuka was in charge of the arrest of Red, a Golden Triangle drug lord, and part of Red's money disappeared during the case. He asks Itsuki to look into Red's finances to get the evidence. She reluctantly agrees.

Itsuki is surprised that Genba knows about them, and leaves. She asks Takumi to look into Red's account, and Takumi asks her if she is still working with Genba after he betrayed three of their colleagues. She explains that Genba was doing his job, and he agrees to look into the account.

Genba and Sumire retrieve a password
Genba comes down and asks Sumire if she can break into the cloud from an email address. She asks if he has permission, but he explains it is important and gives her Miyu's address. Sumire extracts the password as "LOVE PAPA", and Genba calls Rikka to pass it on.
Miyu asks Ken where they should go next Saturday, and he suggests that she could teach him surfing. He then kisses her, but they are interrupted by Suzu and Go having sex in a bed. On the plane, the woman asks Minagawa if he ever met Katherine, and asks to see pictures. He shows her some from a magazine.
At the ATU, Takumi works on the decryption. He notices the word "RED" in the decrypted data.

Hina finishes baking a pie
At the Asakura house, Hina is baking a pie and Yuta asks if it is for her boyfriend. She replies that she doesn't have a boyfriend, as their grandma Shigeko Isomura enters and tells them it smells good. She says Hina will make a good wife in the future. Yuta calls a taxi for his sister.
On the phone, Urara asks what Madoka is talking about, and declares it to be bullshit. Yohei overhears, and asks what is going on, but Urara tells him it is nothing. Yohei reminds her that they promised not to hide anything from each other, but she leaves and goes to her room alone.
Genba tries to call Satonaka but has to leave a message. Itsuki enters, and asks what he is doing, as he was supposed to be making things right with his family. She says he could be arrested, and Genba explains that once you step off the track, you can end up becoming nothing, and it is important to stay on the track. She leaves to check on Takumi's progress.

Rikka speaks to Yogo Hakozaki
Rikka calls Yogo and tells him that she found an email between Miyu and Suzu, arranging to meet two boys at the World Furniture Center in Omori. Yogo says he knows the place, and asks if he can pick her up and they go together. He takes down her address.
Madoka Yamashiro is sitting on a couch when her producer Odagiri knocks on the door. She lets him in, looking around for anyone else, and tells him that she wants to change the top story on their news lineup.
Suzu and Go leave the store, arranging their next stop, but Miyu checks her phone and tells them she has to go home. Go asks why she cares so much about her mother's voicemails, but Ken tells him to go easy as her father just died. Suzu questions this, but says she wants to stay with the boys. They agree to drop Miyu back at her house, and they get in a van and drive away.
