General Dmitri Gredenko was the name of a former Soviet general suspected of orchestrated the sale of five suitcase nukes to Abu Fayed's terrorist cell. Hamri Al-Assad first provided his name to CTU, who soon determined that one of Gredenko's recent business contacts was none other than Jack Bauer's estranged father, Phillip.
