Donnie Keshawarz (born July 30, 1969; age 54) played Yusuf Auda during Season 2 of 24.

Biography and career[]

Donnie Keshawarz was born in Ontario, Canada, but raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He attended Arkansas State University, Rutgers University, and finally the University of Missouri at Kansas City where he completed his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Theater and Performing Arts. During his youth, he was interested in soccer and music, being the lead of a progressive rock group called Elements.

Keshawarz debuted on the film The Pretender in 1987. He has also appeared in films like Drifting Elegant, The Collective, The Adjustment Bureau, and Loving Leah (with Harris Yulin). He has also appeared in a few independent movies productions.

However, Keshawarz' primary work has been on television. Before appearing in 24, he starred in the soap As The World Turns, Sex and the City (with Sarah Clarke), and Hack. After his 6-episode appearance on 24, he appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (with Tamara Tunie), Love Monkey, Lost (with Daniel Dae Kim, Jenny Gago, and Dariush Kashani), Fringe (with John Noble) and Elementary. He has also had recurring roles on Love Monkey, The Sopranos, Damages (with Zeljko Ivanek, Robin Thomas, and Neal Matarazzo), and Person of Interest (with Kevin Chapman and Kirk Acevedo).

In 2013, Keshawarz had a guest role on Showtime's Homeland, which is developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa. The same year, he also appeared in the Martin Scorsese-directed film The Wolf of Wall Street; the next, he had a leading role on Forever, which also featured John Noble and Harris Yulin. Since then, he has had roles in Ad Astra (with Kiefer Sutherland's father Donald) and The Blacklist (with Diego Klattenhoff and Bob Gunton).
