Galindo was born in the Bronx, New York City. She is of Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Spanish heritage.

Galindo began her acting career in 1991, appearing in the film The Super. After that, she has appeared in other films like Blue In The Face (with Jose Zuniga), Double Parked, Hello, My Name is Frank (with Brent Briscoe), Ashley's Ashes, and Body High.

Aside of films, Galindo has worked on TV shows like Third Watch (with Kim Raver), NYPD Blue (with Esai Morales), ER, Off the Map, Desperate Housewives (with Doug Savant, Ricardo Chavira, and Jeffrey Nordling), and Luck. She is also a prolific voice actress for animated shows like Phineas & Ferb, Dora the Explorer, and Sofia the First.
