Eli Hollingsworth was the director of NHS in Cat's Claw.

Hollingsworth was showed a sample of the Cat's Claw virus by NHS employee Celia Alexis at approximately 3:18pm. He commented that the fever accompanying the virus occurred in a populated area with no sterility, causing a high probability of transfer from one host to another. He also mentioned that CTU had not released information on the patient (Kim Bauer), apart from the fact that she was probably exposed around 9:00am.
He noticed that there was a difference between the filovirus found in the host at Minas Gerais, Brasilia and here. The virus in Los Angeles replicated more slowly, taking around 20 hours to compromise the host as opposed to the one in Brazil, which took less than 12 hours.
