Eli Stram

Elijah Timothy "Eli" Stram was a Criminal and Rapist worked for Ira Gaines during Day 1.

Before Day 1

Stram had a considerable criminal record as of Day 1. He had three juvenile arrests in Los Angeles, for: assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and criminal sales of narcotics (crystal methamphetamine and Rohypnol). He served two years in a juvenile detention facility. This was followed by two adult arrests in Los Angeles County for attempted sexual assault; charges were dismissed. One arrest for homicide was followed by an acquittal. Two years before the California primary, charges against Eli Stram were dropped in one pending federal narcotics case. The DEA case officer responsible for his prosecution was former agent Kevin Carroll; both men later worked for Ira Gaines. (Findings at CTU)

At some point during his criminal career, he was arrested by the Compton Police Department, and had his mugshot taken by them. ("Day 1: 3:00pm-4:00pm")

Day 1

Eli guarded the hostages Teri Bauer and her daughter Kim when they were taken to the Gaines compound. At one point, he decided to rape Kim. Teri offered herself instead, saying she "won't fight." Eli agreed and raped her instead. While she was with him, Teri obtained his cell phone, which she used to call for help.

Eli's body is found

When Eli was sent to kill Teri and Kim, Teri pulled out a gun given to her by Rick Allen, but it failed to fire. As Eli tried to stab Kim, Teri shot him twice with his own gun, killing him.

• In the 2013 Indian version of 24, Eli's counterpart is Qureshi.
• Eli Stram's death was the first on-screen kill committed by a character, other than Jack Bauer, who was played by a member of the main cast.
