Yevgeni Nikolayevich Lazarev (March 31, 1937 – November 18, 2016; age 79), known by his professional name Eugene Lazarev, was an actor who played Nikola Luminović in Season 1 of 24. He was a very famous film and theatre actor in Russia.
Biography and career[]
Eugene Lazarev was born as Yevgeni Nikolayevich Lazarev in the city of Minsk, in the former Soviet Union (now Belarus). He graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio. Lazarev was later a professor there. He also played in the Riga Russian Drama Theatre and Mayakovsky Theatre.
Since the 50's, Lazarev had a prolific career as an actor in his native country. He was awarded the title of National Artist of Russia. However, in the 1990's he decided to move to the United States to act in Hollywood.
