The Finsbury Park Mosque was a mosque located in Finsbury Park, London, England. The mosque was considered to be one of the main recruitment centers for Islamic terrorists in the western world.

Background information and notes

  • The Finsbury Park Mosque was a real mosque in London, which under the imam Abu Hamza al-Masri, became reputed as a center for Islamic radicalism. In 2003, less than a year after the airing of "Day 2: 1:00pm-2:00pm," the building was raided in connection with the Wood Green ricin plot and Hamza was jailed. It is now known as the North London Central Mosque, and has a new, moderate imam and board of trustees.
  • The mention of the mosque was cut from the United Kingdom airing and DVD release of Season 2.
