Currently, it says "First seen" and "Last seen" for characters with more than 1 appearance. But, we definitely count live audio as an appearance, not as a "mention". Shouldn't this really say something else than "First seen" considering a number of characters are not actually even seen even though we consider they made an appearance? I believe this is an obviously overdue change, but I won't alter the template for a few days for you all to post your thoughts.
I'm thinking it should just say "First/Last episode" instead of "First/Last seen". Characters like Paul Raines would benefit from this greatly, since he wasn't literally seen in his first actual appearance.
- "Episode" could be extended to refer to a mere mention, so I think we need something more specific. What about "First/Last appearance"? Despite the literal meaning of the word, an appearance doesn't actually have to be visual, does it? You can say someone made an appearance on a podcast, can't you? --Proudhug 00:23, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yup, you could, however I thought about using "appearance" and didn't mention it because the word itself is much longer than "seen" and "episode" and it will extend the infoboxes horizontally quite a bit. I'm kind of hesitant to risk puffing up the infobox. update after previewing with it I've found that despite my worries it doesn't seem to puff it much after all. I'm going to try "appearance" like ya suggested, as it's the best sounding option overall too. – Blue Rook 02:17, 31 August 2008 (UTC)talkcontribs
- Actually, to keep grammatical consistency, it should probably be "first appeared," which is shorter anyway. --Proudhug 12:18, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
