There are two topics that have come up about policy. Very little would actually be changed. Let me know what you think of these:
1) — As Acer brings up on Talk:Macys' Plaza, there are many standards that we have at this project which are unlisted in the Policies, maybe more than a dozen, that are very well accepted and perhaps, because of their frequency, even more often consulted than many of the written policies themselves. Some are actually written down, but only in certain introductions (examples: inclusion rules that exist on specific categories like Category:Images (characters); and who may be on the unnamed pages: nameless people with lines and/or an actor credit) whereas others are entirely unwritten (such as the rules concerning what characters may receive individual articles: anyone with a name). My idea about this is that we outline the totally unwritten ones in a new sub-heading of the policy, and then, add a note that editors are obligated to read and follow the introductory lines of respective categories and lists to see the pre-existing rules about those specific pages.
If everyone is okay with this, I'd like some help collating all the unwritten policies right here before we stick em in the Policy. I'm sure I can't think of them all.
2) — On the Day # antagonist pages, many people including myself have been adding antagonists who lack articles (like Cheng's CTU impersonator during Day 4). This should probably stop because there have got to be more than 100 such nameless goons, and it's potentially a growing mess with them on those pages. My idea is that we limit the inclusion to only characters with articles or Unnamed entries, and we specifically state this at the top. Anyone against this?
