Forum: The Situation Room > Are we allowed to edit others' userpages?
That is, not to change anything, just fix spelling, grammar, other conventions, formatting, etc. Besides, if they don't like it, they can change it back. OneWeirdDude 02:52, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, like on other wikis you are allowed to edit other user pages, to make minor changes and good faith corrections. The reason, as Jimbo Wales says, is "it's a wiki world." That is why user pages are open and not automatically restricted to the user only. If the user asks you to stop afterward, it would be best to desist, but otherwise you are free to jump in. – Blue Rook 03:50, 23 July 2008 (UTC)talkcontribs
