Forum: The Situation Room > Comic con pilot screening

As it seems some/all of the Legacy pilot is being screened at comic con in a few days, I'd like to just clarify the spoiler policy - which currently reads "Once it's been legally released to the public anywhere in the world, it's fair game for inclusion here". However, I don't believe a screening to a room full of people qualifies as being released to "the public" - do people agree with this?--Acer4666 (talk) 08:56, July 23, 2016 (UTC)

I doubt they will have time in an hour slot to show the entire thing and have a Q&A - but if they do I guess it depends whether Fox themselves are generous enough to put whatever footage is shown on the Internet afterwards. Or if someone gets a decent recording of it - it is technically legally "released" at that point, plus it would be useful to compare against the real episode when it airs. Totally get if we'd rather just not deal with it at all until Feb though --Pyramidhead (talk) 09:31, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
Someone recording the screening and post it online would definitely not be legally releasing it - and I would contend that advance screenings, press screenings, and this sort of thing, are not releasing it to the "public" as it's only the select few in the room that it is intended to be shown to. If this interpretation is satisfactory, that would mean waiting until February (unless of course Fox legally and officially release the clips on the internet or show them on TV)--Acer4666 (talk) 10:21, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
I agree with Acer. Screened at a Comic-Con in a specific city for a few people definitely isn't the same as "released to "the public anywhere in the world". Thief12 (talk) 13:38, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
