: First, sorry about the absenteeism recently folks. Everything looks like it transitioned quite nicely (to me). Acer is there any way the background images on the sides can cease being static? In other words, can they stay with you as you scroll down? Other wikis do that and it seems a step above the way it is here... can't figure this out myself. {{User:Blue Rook/Sig}} 00:55, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

::No worries! I've changed the background so it stays visible when scrolling - a slight side effect is that the top is now aligned with the bottom of the blue Wikia toolbar rather than the top of the entire screen, so I think it's a bit further down than it was, I dunno if this is noticeable. What does anyone think compared with having it stay at the top of the article?--[[user:Acer4666|Acer4666]] ([[User talk:Acer4666|talk]]) 09:01, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Forum: The Situation Room > New navigation

On October 3, all wikis are going to have the new wiki navigation (seen on wikis like Community Central) as mandatory, as well as other design changes to the wiki skin detailed here. This probably should be addressed sometime soon, and we can decide what to have on the navigation and how we can make it fit in with the rest of the site. It may be possible to style the navigation to look like the CTU display, with red parallelgrams, but whether that would fit in is debatable.

Also, the new width cuts off Jack's eye in the background image which looks a bit odd, so that might have to be looked at too. To see what any page will look like with the new width, add ?wikiagrid=1&wikiafullheader=1 to the end of the URL, eg Jack Bauer. Any thoughts on this?--Acer4666 (talk) 15:32, September 25, 2012 (UTC)
