Biography and career

François Chau was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He is of Chinese and Vietnamese descent. When he was around 6 years old, he and his family moved to Saigon, but because of the Vietnam War, they moved to France and then Washington, D.C. Chau went to college in the US, and after graduating, he moved to Los Angeles.

Chau began his professional acting career as a voice actor for G.I.Joe. After that, he has appeared in shows like Baywatch, ER (with Eriq La Salle), Nash Bridges (with Jaime Gomez), Stargate SG-1 (with Carmen Argenziano), Line of Fire (with Brian Goodman and Leslie Hope), Numb3rs (with Navi Rawat and Peter MacNicol), and The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, and Kavita Patil).
